[ To Snow this is before Dark one way before it ] The Lonely Traveller as he was Merlin's title at this particular point in time was travelling Camelot, trying to get a feel for it now the war had been over for centuries, now that he had been asleep for that long having just woken up. Not only that he needed to know more about himself before entering the king's domain, he knew he had magic, he could feel it within him boiling away waiting to be trained, to be unleashed, wait magic the people that saved him had called it. The worst thing was though that he was in pain every day, the tip of his blade was still near his heart, and apparently he would stop ageing at 22, he had a few years to go but he knew the only way to survive was to keep Camelot safe and not let it be destroyed, to see it through until a golden age, but he would be of no use if he could not control his magic and use it to stem this deathly pain, the fact he would always be on the point of death, ready to die when he was of no use, bah great. Merlin had walked into a clearing in the forest he was visiting today and he sat down to meditate, that was right wasn't it, that's what magic used did? They meditated to try and get in contact with their powers. The Old teen had no idea but he was very sure that he had no knowledge of what to do, what would a simple landowner's boy now about magic, he was barely any use out on the battlefield, he had technically dead for gods sake. How was he supposed to lead kings, princes and army's to help the poor and innocent children. He sat there just with his eyes closed when he felt it, some power rising up around him, not his he could tell that much, it seemed to be in the air and the grass around him. When he opened his eyes he noticed some beautiful flowers had grown around the rock he had sat on. "Whoever you are I'm impressed you have some powerful magic," he told whoever it was he knew he, knew bearably anything about magic but he knew power when he saw it. Grandmother Willow

Grandmother Willow, or well Willow for short these days was traveling around the fields of Camelot. Willow was a young woman who learned her skills in the magic. She had a connection to the nature and she loved to spend time around there. While she liked her magic, it was also something to be afraid of. Many times people tried to murder her, or trying to capture her to use her magic. She always escaped and that was a good thing. She was young enough to flee, and her magic was always with her. The last time she fled she headed to Camelot. Camelot was a safe place. It had many wars for centuries and it was still around. They would accept her there. She knew it would. She just had to go there. She was close and she knew it was going to be a few more walks through the forest. Her area that she would love to spend more times. As she walked slowly caring about every step she made to not get attacked, she felt a strong force. Someone with magic was close near her, and it felt at least like good magic. She gave a smile as she waved her hand. Flowers grew on the rocks in front of the person as she walked out of the shadows from the tree. "I can sense great power in you as well."She said as she gave a smile to the young wizard in front of her. Emerys Merridian Finn/Merlin

"Nature magic isn't it?" Merlin asked cautiously not wanting to offend the women who had come across him, in fact as soon as he approached he gave a polite bow, as his father had taught him, he did not care of her status, while his father would of, he did not, maybe she was nomad but that did not matter, he would treat her as she deserved. "It is a pleasure to meet you my lady, I am Merlin," he smiled and adjusted his dusty clothing, the only clothing he had on him right now, the clothes he had *died in*. "Of hou......." he paused, realizing that his house didn't really exist any more and he was the loan member of it. "Doesn't matter, I am The Lonely traveller, what is your name?." "Yes, though I don't exactly know where my power is," He told her frowning slightly, before looking back at the flowers, " Those flowers you grew are very beautiful, it suits your looks," oh yes idiot very smooth, just a few weeks alive and he was already making stupid compliments at any pretty girl or handsome boy that crossed his path. Merlin had lots more to worry, about like this golden age and how exactly he was going to reach his magic. "You got told your important and magical, your made to sleep, but no one leaves you a note it's typical really," almost like how his dad had never said good bye to him before going off to war and dying. How he never got to say goodbye to his mother and sister, how everyone that ever matter to him was now dead, ripped away, he could never see them again. He didn't even know how his mum and sister died yet. Grandmother Willow

"Yes dear Nature Magic." She said as she looked at the young wizard in front of her. She gave a smile as she saw him take a bow, she returned the bow as she smiled back at him. She then heard his name as she could feel that the boy was a strong one, and going to be a strong one. He just needed the right guide around. "Nice to meet you Merlin, my name is Willow." She said as she gave a nod. She saw how he dusted his clothes as she saw something in him that was hiding. She would let it rest that was for sure. He probably didn't need it. "Maybe I can help you find your inner power if you want that of course? She asked as she sat down next to him. "Everything needs time, but with the right ways and the right guide you will find your inner strength and your magic." She said as she then heard the compliment. She blushed a bit as she looked away. "Thank you" was all Willow could say. She knew what he was telling as she touched the ground. She closed her eyes as she pulled a seed out of the ground. A few minutes later there was a staff coming from the seed. "To start with magic, you will need to feel something, maybe this will help you." Willow said as she then gave the Willow wood staff at him. "try to see if you feel something? She said as she gave a smile. Emerys Merridian Finn/Merlin

"I always wanted to see nature magic, my father used to try tell me it didn't exist," He smiled ever so slightly at that closing his eyes remembering a glade he had gone to that day, the wind rushing either side of him, the flowers that blossomed as if touched by magic, the voices of the trees, whispering to one another. "There was glade I came across once, it had been untouched by the devastation of the civil war, like the very will of nature was keeping it alive." He wondered what she thought of that, could it of been her? She did seem very old and wise and he felt her power on that not her. "Willow such a lovely name, like the tree?" He smiled. "Want?" He thought on that question for a bit looking around him at the peaceful scene then back at Willow, "It seem's it's more that I need to, so says prophecy and destiny," He was never much of a believer in destiny, the fact that something ruled your fate, he always believed that even if you had a certain end you control the journey and the destination of that end. He wasn't sure why he had even been chosen, the fact he would live longer than most, live longer than anyone he would ever love or any child he would father. It was a terrible fate in his mind right now, yet he realized he could help people, could bring this kingdom to it's full potential. A land under his control to nurture and to care for to make a kingdom as golden and as glorious as anyone would ever see. Could he do it? Could he control that much power? "Though wanting it sounds promising, the people I could help, show the better path," the better path? Was this better path really what he wanted to show them? Or was there something more he could do. Merlin watched her carefully now as she took a seed from the ground and a willow wood staff came out of it, he watched both impressed and enchanted he felt something click inside him just by looking at it. " Thank you," he said catching the staff and as it touched his lips, his eyes lit up white of his own accord and the staff changed forming into oak wood, and the colour white. He felt a buzz in his ear and the wind whip up s if the staff was responding to him. "I felt warm, alive bursting with energy was that the magic?" Came the question as he opened his eyes, his heart racing. Grandmother Willow
