Princess Winnifred 'Winnie'
Although she was titled a princess once, Winnie actually grew up the child of a farmer in the Enchanted Forest. She had a large family, which became even larger after her father died because of his support for Snow White and her two brothers and their families moved in to help take care of the farm. Winnie took to exploring the area and came to love the outdoors. She is fairly down to earth girl, though she has her dreamy moments. She is very kind, loyal and adventurous though not necessarily brave. She definitely has a silly side, which is very gentle rather than sarcastic, and loves to laugh and have fun, but is actually very intelligent. She suffers from anxiety attacks often brought on by crows or small places, and can be a pushover as she loves to please people even at her own detriment. She loves animals, nature, books.
'Freddie Valentine'
Storybrooke Ego
destructive, criminal, harsh, brash, careless
This is who Winnie was for the twenty eight years of Regina's curse. Freddie Valentine was a hopeless and careless young woman who was destructive to others and herself. She was a street musician when she wasn't being tossed in jail for petty theft, trespassing and public disturbance. She pissed a lot of people off but also probably ran wit her own small group of friends that would be like her. She enjoyed smoking, drinking, skateboards and being an all around badass bitch.
Plotting
I am trying to work on developing plots that I can tell the stories of, so while I don't mind a few 'these two would get along so let's do a post', I am really looking for better thought out plots with some kind of direction, though we don't need everything set in stone. Here are some things I am looking for but feel free to throw other ideas out.
Redemption
As Freddie, she was quite destructive and a nuisance, to put it lightly. When she regained her true self, Winnie felt incredibly guilty about the awful things she did. I'm interested in someone she hurt or destroyed their property, but this would not be someone who would easily forgive. I want Winnie to have to work for their forgiveness, particularly by doing work for them of some kind. This would be a long term agreement between the two.
Open to: a shop keeper, a private citizen, or someone involved in the law.
Helping Hands
When Winnie was about seventeen or eighteen, she started having trouble staying in the small house with her huge family, so she decided to go on her own adventure. She's not particularly brave but she's very smart. I imagine she probably ran into a lot of trouble. I would like to have a few people who helped her while on her adventure and develop the relationship with them, probably some kind of friendship or admiration.
Open to: Many. Characters from the Enchanted Forest
Admiration
Winnie is a bit shy and reserved. She does not like the attention on herself and she realizes she has a lack of bravery. I would very much like to find someone she can look up to. This person would probably be someone comfortable with themselves, heroic. They should be someone that would not be completely dismissive of her admiration, but not someone who is egotistical. Perhaps even someone who would nurture the connection would be nice.
Open to: Heroic women. I imagined this as @snow or Hua Mulan, but am open to other suggestions.
Romance
Romance is one of my favorite things, to be honest, and Winnie is definitely open to this. She was once engaged to a prince but really didn't want to marry him (not as bad as it sounds), so I imagine she does still feel some loyalty to him. This would be a very slow moving romance, but one with a lot of sweetness and gentleness. She needs someone intelligent, even nerdy would be fine, as she needs to be able to have a conversation, and someone with similar interests as she has. Probably someone fairly down to earth, but someone that she can learn from and that can learn from her.
Open to: Men
Almost Family
As stated above, Winnie was once engaged to a prince. The prince's family thought the mark of a true princess would be so sensitive as to feel a pea under a stack of mattresses, but Winnie is afraid of heights so she slept on the floor. She inadvertently made the family believe that she had felt the pea, so they declared her a princess and betrothed her to their son. Winnie didn't know the prince but asked for a long engagement in order to get to know him. When she did, she found he was quite dull and dumb. Now, this could be true or it could be that he was nervous and presented himself badly. Even so I imagine the family is a little odd.
Open to: New or existing characters. King, Queen, Prince.
More to come. Again, open to all kinds of plots but please try to create a plot with a direction with me. =)
