The day the curse broke she had lost all hope of ever being human again. Lalinka had been stuck in her wolf form, the form Rumpel gave her in order to protect and yet go without being recognized by certain people like a pirate named Hook. Then again it also helped, because some of the towns she would have to pass through with Pocahontas knew her face and she was wanted for her thefts. Most of those thefts were to get back things stolen from others, but the people of course didn't see it that way.
When the first wolves time came upon Storybrooke after the curse was lifted she was surprised to find herself human. Unlike the stories of what this world might call werewolves, she turned back into her human form during the three days that were associated with the full moon. Magic worked differently in this place, she had expected that once the curse was broken it would break the magic that was placed on her so long ago. She had been through many things in her life from Agrabah, pirates, more pirates, never land, to being turned into a wolf that led her into a life of protecting people. She couldn't exactly do as much steal while on all fours than when she was in human form.
For a while she would live like she had back in the Enchanted Forest as a wolf that only turned human on the three days connected with the full moon. Then one day she had noticed new people in town, someone that she thought seemed familiar. A few days after this stranger's arrival was the full moon. When the sun parted on the third day she waited to be turned back, but she wasn't. Day one went by and nothing, day two went by and still no longer a wolf. She was human, truly human, though she'd find out soon that she could become the wolf when she wanted to. After three days as a human in the woods she found herself coming back into town.
It wasn't like she didn't come in to town during the days she was human or even as a wolf at times. This was different though. Before she was just a face that appeared and seemed to disappear. She could actually create something with herself. She could open a business, eat human food with disposable fingers any time she wanted. She didn't have any clothes, besides the ones on her back, the ones she had gotten from Agrabah during her last visit there around the time she had met Hook. She definitely stuck out like a sore thumb, but it didn't matter to her.
She moved up to the first building she came to that of Rumpelstilskin. Part of her hated him for not being clearly on the deal she had made, but he did do what she asked. Her wolf form intact kept her from being recognized. She stood outside of the shop which looked closed wondering if she should try to enter. Even if she did what would it be that she would say. Lalinka found herself distracted by something she could see through the window when suddenly she saw someone in the reflection of the window and jumped slightly. Her hand rested on her chest as she looked at the figure through it's reflection. "Do you make it a habit of sneaking up on people?"

Neal wasn't used to this town yet. He hadn't seen much of it, except for what his son Henry had shown him. Neal hadn't been to see his father since he got here and until recently had no intentions to.
Neal realized that if he wanted Emma to forgive him, she should at least make an effort with his dad to listen to him. He didn't know where to look for him, but, remembered that Emma said the name Mr. Gold.
He wasn't sure what that meant, but, decided to go with it anyway. He walked around the town passing everything from Granny's Diner to the Sheriff's Station, and not seeing anything related to the name Gold.
As he looked through more of the town, he did recognize something, or rather someone. He couldn't tell from where, but, he could swear he did. He looked up at the sign of the shop that she was standing by and saw the name Gold. This must be where his father lived in this town. He decided to just walk up and look in to check whether his father was in there.
As he arrived at the window, he got a closer look at the woman. Suddenly she stepped back as she jumped and began to speak to him. "Hello LaLinka" Neal said with a smirk on his face, staring at her.

She turned around when the man said her name. Her eyes went across his features as if trying to make a connection. "Do I know you?" Her head tilted to the side slightly as she tried to put the pieces together. "No,no way,Baelfire." She reach out and nudged him in the shoulder. "Well you've, grown." Here she was looking about the same as the last time they had met and he was all tall. She brought the man into a hug.
Her eyes looked over the grown man before her. They hadn't interacted much in their lands, but she had a soft spot for the kid. The pirate ran her hands through her long dark hair as she shifted weight from one foot to the other. "You look good, old, but good." It sort of gave her perspective on how old she must have really been in comparison to how he looked about her age, maybe a little older. The girl who has been stealing to survive for most of her life just stood there taking in the moment.
"How have you been? What have you been up to? " Though the real question on her mind was if he had heard from Hook. Even in her wolf form she hadn't seen Hook around town. Now that it looked like she was human again it was time to seek out the person that helped drive the deal that went down between Bae's father and herself.

Neal smiled as Lalinka pulled him into a hug. He hadn't seen her in years and remembered their adventures from when he was on the Jolly Roger. He took a closer look at his friend, and saw that she hadn't changed much and he liked that. Neal ran his fingers through his own hair before smiling again, "You look great too" Neal wasn't lying, she looked great.
Neal looked around awkwardly before looking back at her "I've been great" Neal said, as he looked back at Linka and smiled. "As for what I've been up too, well that is a really long story" Neal wasn't sure where to start with the story, but, decided to tell her "I'll give you the short version." Neal said, looking around and then smiling at LaLinka. "I met a great girl, lost her. She followed me to my new home in New York with my dad and surprisingly my son that I never knew and now here we are." Neal wasn't sure if she would be able to follow everything he just said, but, at least now they were all caught up on his side.
"So," Neal said, looking behind her at the store that possibly belonged to his father. "What about you? How have you been?" Neal had missed this friend and was desperate to catch up and it also meant he didn't have to see his father as soon and admittedly he wouldn't mind the distraction.

"A son, that is wonderful." Lalinka loved kids. If she could have saved the boys of never land she would have. She started to believe after a few years of being a wolf she had missed her shot of being a mother. Her eyes looked around and then back to Bae. "Shortly after we got back to the Enchanted Forest, Hook somehow got the idea that I was plotting against him.Thought I was purposely trying to distract him from his vengeance. He made me jump ship. I made friends with Indians that lived in the area where I washed on shore. Met your father and spent my days until today as a wolf." There of course were the random full moon days that she turned back to her human form. She just thought it was simpler to use the word today then to get into the details.
There was a brief moment of silence, but that was because she was trying to place who the woman and child were. She had remembered everything as a wolf about their home town. It was like the curse knew she couldn't communicate and wanted her to live with the knowledge she'd never be able to help. Yet, she had managed to help by leading Graham to the graveyard. "Emma and Henry. " She said before her eyes moved from looking past him back to reality in front of him. "Your Henry's father. I haven't actually met them. Emma has seen me in my wolf form when I tried to help Graham jog his memory. She seems nice, feisty, but nice."
She moved her hands to rest around her stomach as if giving herself a hug or protecting it. This outfit had no pockets, nothing to do with her hands and she had gotten bored with just having her arms rest at her side. "Anyway, I was trying to locate your father, but I see he is not here." The Agrabah native looked down to her outfit and then back to Bae. "Clearly you've come to see him as well. Now we could stand here and wait or you can accompany me on a walk. Maybe tell me why people where such clothes" She adjusted his jacket. "And how to come by them without stealing." She moved her hands behind her shoulders and picked up the hood of her cloak. She had been use to wearing it when walking and even though she had spent 28 years stuck as a wolf the habit still hadn't lost her.

Neal nodded as Link told him her story. Neal looked at her and shook his head "Wait, you met my father?" Neal hoped that she hadn't made a deal with him, because, sometimes they don't turn out too well. Neal flashed back to his own deal he made with his father. Neal shook himself back into reality and looked back at Link "And you were a wolf?" Neal was very confused, but, in the life they came from it wasn't surprising or unheard of.
Neal smiled as Link put together the pieces of Emma and Henry "Yeah. Henry's my son" Neal still felt weird saying that, as he only just found out about him. Neal chuckled as she said about Emma being fiesty "Yeah, she is isn't she" Neal knew this from experience and it was one of the things he loved about her.
Neal looked behind at his father's shop and then back at Link "No, I guess he's not" Neal liked the idea of a walk, as it meant he didn't have to see his father as soon. "You know what a walk sounds great" Neal said, looking at Link with a smile. Neal looked down at both his outfit and Link's "Honestly Link, they wear this stuff, because they don't have the same clothing styles here, that we had in the Forest." Neal chuckled at Link's second curiousity "Well Link, the easiest way to gain them is to have money to actually buy them. Maybe a job" Neal said, "Shall we?" Neal asked, gesturing towards the path.

"Yes, it was a way for me to avoid being seen by people after me and " She paused. "others" She didn't want to bring up Hook's name, though she was curious if he had seen the pirate since he had been in town. She should have gotten rid of the outfit she wore after being forced to walk the plank, but she could never part with it. No matter how much she was upset and didn't want to see the man again, she still wore it. It was of course no way a reminder of how she had fallen for the pirate. The outfit was just that an outfit or so that was what she had led herself to believe.
"A job..." She looked away from Rumpel's son and to a pair walking across the street around the corner. Her attention once more went back to Bae. "I've had quests and missions, but a job. " There was a part of her that wished she could go back to the life she left after meeting pochahontas. There was definitely a big part of her that felt like she needed to stay away from that life and be the protector. Her eyes moved across the area as Bae spoke of starting their walk.
"The Forest didn't even have clothes like Agrabah." She extended her arms out as if showing off the outfit. It had been her favorite possession and now her only possession from their lands. She started to walk and Bae walked next to her as they headed toward town and not the tree lines where she had just come from. " How on earth did you land in this world?" She was sort of starring at him once more. Who could blame her, he was a little kid the last time she saw him. Now here he was a grown man with , by the sounds of it, a family. She was happy for him that he was able to find himself in such a position. Then again there was probably more going on than she knew about so she'd leave her comments on his happiness out of the conversation.

Neal smiled and looked at Link. He understood wanting to hide from people, he had been hiding from his dad and his past. "So you made a deal with my dad?" Neal smiled and looked at Link with curiousity "By others. Do you mean Hook?" Neal remembered back on the Jolly Roger that Link had a thing with Hook, which still creeped him out a bit.
Neal looked back at his father's shop and then back at Link "Well, job's aren't so hard" Neal said, looking around the town, of course he'd never had one, but, he couldn't be wrong could he. "Honestly, missions and quests are kind of the same thing. You get paid for doing certain work" Neal smiled and spotted Link looking at where he gestured.
Neal began to walk with Link as she asked him about how he got in this world. "It's a really long story" Neal said, looking at her "After I left Neverland, I ended up in this land, however, a different part of it." Neal looked at Link and suddenly became curious himself, "How did you end up in this world?" Neal asked as they continued to walk around the town of Storybrooke.

"I made a deal, yes." She stopped walking and looked to Bae when he said Hook's name. "It's not a name I would like to hear, thank you very much." The pirate didn't want anything to stand in the way of getting his revenge on Bae's father. Revenge messed with his mind and made him think that she was up to something when she really was not. She starred at Baelfire as if trying to erase something. "Yes, but how does that work, the getting paid thing. IF I were to set up my own business." She snapped out of the stare and started to walk once more.
"Say I wanted to start a Leverage Business, who around here would I have to talk to?" She was very much interested in trying to be human once more, but it would be a hard adjustment. After a while she had told herself she had gotten use to being a wolf only able to be a human on certain days. Eventually she started to believe her own words. She was use to running, howling, and protecting. She couldn't exactly do most of those things as human.
"Where are we walking to anyway?" Her eyes finally moved off Bae and looked around her surrounding. "Are there any of those fountains you can walk through here?" Sure she had explored the town in her wolf form and the few times she was human since the curse had broken, but she hadn't explored all of the town.

Neal looked at Link and her reaction about Hook "Sorry Link" Neal said, smiling softly as they stopped walking. Neal began walking again as Link asked him about starting a business. Neal looked at Link and answered her question "You probably need to talk to the mayor Regina or..." Neal paused and looked back at his father's shop, Neal looked back at Link "My dad". Neal wasn't sure if either of those would be a good idea, but, they were the best people to talk to.
Neal looked around and smiled "I'm not entirely sure where we're going" Neal looked around trying to recognise somewhere that Henry had shown him. Neal looked back at Link and smiled "I don't think so. I think they just have regular fountains." Neal said sadly as he was disappointed by that, as he did like those kind of fountains.

"No need for you to be sorry Bae." It was her fault that she allowed herself to see the good in Hook. Though she and Hook were both pirates, she felt she was doing good with stealing things and returning them to their owners, where as Hook only took for himself and his crew. When Hook offered her crew a free pass if she'd come aboard their ship she took the offer, but she hated Hook for separating her form her crew. Her eyes looked back to Baelfire with a warm smile. " Regina or your father? Neither option sounds nice at this point." She hadn't met Regina personally, but she had lived in the woman's woods at one point before the curse had been placed.
"Hmm, well we should try to pick a destination I guess." Her eyes moved away from the once young boy to the horizon in the distance. "Maybe we can talk them into getting one of those. I hear they are great to run through. I hear you can time it to rise and fall and make a water show." She sounded so entertained by this idea. Of course she had heard about them through a random google search the last time she had been human, before Bae had shown up to the town.
"So you've been in this world for a little bit now? What should I know?" She had witnessed how the town had acted while under the curse, but she wasn't sure if that was how the world outside this town acted as well. She was curious about this new planet they were on and just maybe Baelfire would be able to tell her some things about the United States.

Neal looked at Link, as she mentioned about not liking the idea of talking to Regina or his father. Neal laughed and said "You're probably right. Regina and my dad probably aren't the best idea." Neal continued to look around the town when Link said about picking a destination. "How about we start with trying some American food?" Neal said, looking at her. Neal took another look at the fountains before nodding his head. "You're right." Neal said, before looking back at Link. "If you want me to I can suggest it to Henry, as Regina, the mayor is his adoptive mother."
Neal and Link continued to walk the town as she asked about what she needed to know about this town. "Well, one thing you should know is that I kind of go by Neal these days." Neal said, looking at her and then peeking back at his father's shop. "I stopped being Bae a long time ago." Neal shook his head and brought himself back into reality. "Something else you should know is that this town is completely different from the Forest and Hook's ship." Neal looked around the town, "I don't know what this town was like during the curse, but, I think it's the same as what it was then." Neal smiled and continued to walk this town with Link.

"Well the last time I was human I had a hamburger, those were rather good, but i hear peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are excellent. Do you know where we could find one of those?" The accent slipped from her lips which held a child like innocent smile. "But I like your name Baelfire. It fits you like, well i don't know, but I know it fits you" There were a few pauses in her voice as she had tried to figure out a phrase to show how much she thought his name suited him. She followed him with her hands folded behind her back. This made her shoulders stay back and her attention to how time felt to be moving slowly went way.
"Fine, I'll call you Neal, but know I don't like it as much." She listened to Bae speak about how the town was the same as it was in the curse, well relatively the same. She was around during those time, but she tried her best not to come in to town unless she needed to. Until the curse had been broken her life was about surviving as a wolf. "Well hopefully it might stay that way a little." Everything seemed relative quiet and people seemed happy. Who in their right mind wouldn't want that for people always trying to find their happy ever after.

Neal smiled as she asked about cheeseburgers and getting peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, "Well, we can get some of those sandwiches from Granny's Diner." Neal said, looking at her "I know that Bae's my name, but, I vowed to leave my past behind me." Neal thought about his life in the Forest, sometimes he wished he had been under the curse as a way to make it vanish completely for a while.
Neal looked at Link, "Thanks. Hopefully you'll get used to it." Neal wasn't sure whether she would, but, for now he was Neal. Bae was gone a long time ago. Neal looked around the town again, "Yeah hopefully it will" Neal was used to this world now, and was in no rush to go back to his other world. "So, if you want a burger or to try a PB&J sandwich. Granny's is this way" Neal said, looking at Link and pointing towards Granny's.

"You know there had to be some good in your past. Even if the darker things seemed to happen more often. I mean look at me. I've been a wolf, basically since the last time we saw each other. Down side I was a wolf, bright side I saved a lot of people and wasn't caught for any form thefts. And I managed to help Graham in the right direction to remembering who he was. All downsides have some light, Bae." She paused. "I mean, Neal. I'm sorry, but you'll always be Baelfire to me " Lalinka nudged him. "But if I get the idea of you still being that kid on the Jolly Rodger, I think I can move on and call you Neal." It was going to be a tough task, but she'd do it for him. "Well i've had granny's hamburgers. This isn't the first time I've been human, just the first time i haven't been forced to change back into a wolf since the curse broke. " It had to do with Baelfire or Hook, or both of them being back in town. Lalinka would have adopted Baelfire on the spot, but that sort changed when Baelfire figured out who Hook was in relationship to Bae's mother. She figured he wouldn't want to come with him. She of course never go the opportunity to ask. "So, peanut butter and jelly sandwich for me. I hope they are as good as I've heard." Such a simple thing to most humans on this planet was the equivalent to her as a kid going into a candy shop for the first time. Most people found the little things to not give them such a childlike innocent glow to their faces, but for Lalinka after being stuck as a wolf for 28 years in this town that glow would come over her over the smallest of things. Mr. Gold
