Personality:
For the most part, Mary seems like an ordinary girl but she is anything but. The blonde was taken from her human family when she was a babe so her experience with humans is limited. She often doesn’t understand human customs and phrases and whatnot. She will often misinterpret sayings or gestures and has to be assured that no harm is meant. The blonde gets attached quickly to those who she takes a liking; after smelling them and observing them. When she does get very attached to someone, she views them as a pack member; like family. If she gets betrayed, she will just simply ignore them; completely cut them out of her life.
Since Mary wasn’t raised by humans, her concerns are different from other girls her age. Whereas other girls are worried about boys and make-up, Mary is more concerned about simply surviving; having enough food to last her a while. She is also concerned about the animals living in Storybrooke and the wild, so has taken to befriending the local wildlife and nursing the injured back to health.
Mary has no experience with love whatsoever; she is a complete love novice. She would get that someone would want to mate, due to the smell they’re emitting but does not get the whole flirting etc. she will also get really protective when she does date though, so beware!
History:
Mary is the youngest born of Joe and Hannah and is the younger sister of Bo Peep and Boy Blue. From the moment she was born Mary was different, special; she’d been born without a voice. The reason for this unusual phenomena is unknown, however she was treated with all the love and care she could ask for. When she was still a babe, the family made up their own form of sign language and used it with her all the time. One day when the family was out, two she-wolves came to feast on livestock however seeing the infant Mary, the two took her and feeling some sort of empathy, decided to raise her themselves.
Mary grew up learning the ways of the wild, enjoying her life. She grew up learning to hunt and track, things that she demonstrates proudly. At age nine, the blonde girl met and befriended a robin and a herd of deer. When her wolf mother discovered this she was none too happy about it and ordered her unhappy daughter to kill them later that day; to her Mary was upsetting the balance of nature. Her wolf sister, Ula, seeing her sister’s discomfort at killing, led her away from their den, having a great discussion. Ula agreed to spare any of the animals Mary didn’t kill and Mary agreed to kill for food.
Sometime later, she met another feral child whom she easily befriended; a teenaged boy named Mowgli and his animal friends; Baloo and Bagheera. She even met his wolf pack. Ula found a mate and stayed with the wolf pack; Mary would later come to visit often. Life remained the same for Mary until she was twelve. She had wondered from her mother and come across her human siblings; Bo and Blue. Mary’s human mother came to check on them and found Mary staring at them. Somehow knowing that here was her long-lost daughter, she called to her but Mary did not respond. Hannah called to her two more times but got the same reaction. Finally, she let Mary be and ushered her children home, unaware that her youngest had followed them home. Now Mary had been told by her wolf family about humans; how they caused nothing but destruction but Mary noted that these humans didn’t leave destruction in their wake and their den looked ok and had food, which was kept in one place. She didn’t understand that part but merely observed the family that looked like her. Mary saw her wolf mother from a distance nodded, signifying her approval of Mary going with the human family.
Mary lived with her biological family for three years. During that time, she learned how to be a more civilised human, acquiring the knowledge of how to eat using cutlery, how to be a good farm worker, how to read and write. She even found a way to communicate with hand signs. Hannah and Bo made her a bag of scrolled parchments with phrases on them. To show her gratitude, Mary used her newfound knowledge of cooking and made pheasant with lentils, potatoes and peas. It would be during her second year of living with her family that she would meet and befriend a woman named Snow White. The parents were out and she and her siblings were mucking out the stables when Mary caught a whiff of something unfamiliar. She signalled to Blue where the smell was coming from. Snow revealed herself after Blue made a threat. The two older siblings immediately refused to help the ebony-haired woman but the feral girl took a liking to her and convinced them to help. The parents didn’t need to know, after all. Once she had helped the older woman, Mary thought about running back to the wild but always backed out at the last minute.
After the three years were up, the blonde feral child did run away back to the wild, leaving a note saying her thanks and sincerest apologies. Mary ran back to where her wolf-mother used to live but could not find her. She checked all the old hunting spots but Lupa was nowhere to be found. Saddened by this, Mary wandered around and saw a ship floating on the water. Curious, she crept up to it and gingerly touched it. The blonde went onto the ship and marvelled it, eagerly exploring it before having to hide, since people were coming aboard. Mary then felt the ship move, which alarmed her but she soon got used to the rhythm. When the ship had docked, Mary waited until she was sure she could get off the ship. She managed and since then, Mary has been hiding; stealing food and observing the inhabitants. She prays she doesn’t get found out.

From my site.
Adam looked outside as the scenery zipped past and gave a small sigh. He could see that Beauty was nervous and he understood why. Things tend to trigger traumatic past events and Beast could understand that their going to visit Bigby would make his wife uncomfortable. Indeed seeing the young woman surrounded by the wolves had caused Beast to have some nightmares of his own; some of which were very gruesome. He looked to his wife and gave her a small smile. He knew what she was going through just by coming here, to Bigby and Red’s home; he’d be there for her all the way.
There would be times at night where Adam would have to hold her and cradle her back to sleep. He didn’t think she had put that event at the back of her mind, but traumatic events were also hard to shake off. He still had nightmares about his parents’ death and when he was cursed to be the Beast. It was horrible; he sometimes took to roaming the castle when he was having a particularly bad nightmare. The walking did him good and he sometimes looked over papers he hadn’t had the time to read during the day. He’d even had the court physician concoct a draught that would help him sleep better at night.
Adam didn’t know much about the other Kingdom creatures, unfortunately; his informants and spies didn’t really say much about that area when reporting back to him. Maybe he should ask about that in their meetings next time; it’d be helpful in the future. The King of Barbot felt his wife cosy on up to him and he did the same; he wanted to make Beau feel comfortable. The carriage rounded the corner and Adam saw the castle and slowly breathed a sigh out. They had made it to Urla without being attacked by bandits, which was a plus in Beast’s opinion. There was also the fear that the Sovereign would capture them and torture but thankfully the two hadn’t been accosted by the enemy so far but the Beast knew it was only a matter of time.
“It sure is, my dear,” said Adam as he was looking outside the carriage window and then back to his lady wife, giving her a smile to try and comfort her. “By the way, why are we whispering? It’s just us, dear.” he then chuckled. “It has been a while since we last saw him, and Red. I’m sure you and Red have much to discuss. Maybe we should’ve brought the kids; they could’ve played with the Red Cloaks, and it’d be nice for them to see the other Kingdoms. I’m not sure why he invited us, to be honest, but at any rate, it’ll be good to see him. I wonder if he and his father have finally mended the fence after all these years.” Unlike most people, Beast and Beauty had the privilege to know Bigby’s true heritage, which was impressive. To be the son of an Embodiment meant that a person was not be trifled with, as Beast knew from their fight years ago. Once they were outside the castle, the footman opened the door, and Beast got out, thanking the man with ‘thank you’ and a smile. He then waited for Beauty to come out.
