Character Image:
Name: Regina Mills/The Evil Queen
Gender: Female
Age: 32
Occupation: Mayor/Queen/Making Snow White's life miserable
Family: Cora (mother), Henry (father), Henry (adopted son), Leopold (husband, died "mysteriously"), the Charmings (stepfamily, unfortunately)
Strengths: Determined, good at magic, knows how to get what she wants, caring (toward very few people)
Weaknesses: Holds a grudge, never apologizes, takes revenge to extremes
Quote: "I should be overflowing with regret, but... I'm not Because it got me my son. "
Personality: No one in this world or any other will tell you that Regina is a good, kind-hearted person. She's uncaring at the best of times, and downright dangerous at worst. She holds grudges longer and better than nearly anyone else you might know. She has two, sometimes three, people that she hates more than anything else in the world, and will ruin almost anyone's life to hurt them without regret. That doesn't mean that she's all bad of course. She is quite devoted to the few people who actually manage to worm their way into her heart, and she would do anything for them. Regina's current goals are earning Henry's forgiveness, getting Henry to love her again, making Snow's life miserable, and getting Emma to leave Storybrooke, now and forever.
History: Regina was born to Prince Henry and his wife Cora, into a life of luxury. As she grew up she was groomed by her harsh, overbearing mother to be a queen, which was her mother's goal for her from birth. As a young woman she fell in love with a stable boy named Daniel, who she kept secret from her mother, knowing she would not approve. Soon everything changed. One day while she was spending time with Daniel a young girl sped by on a horse that was clearly out of control. Regina chased them on her own horse and managed to save the girl, who she later learned was Princess Snow White. After hearing of this Snow White's father, King Leopold asked her to marry him and her mother accepted in her place. Feeling trapped, Regina made plans to run away with Daniel, hoping they could live the rest of their lives together. Unfortunately this plan, like so many other things Regina wanted to do, was foiled by her mother. Snow White had seen Regina and Daniel kissing and promised not to tell anyone about their relationship, but Cora manipulated her into breaking that promise and telling her what she knew. After finding out their plan, Cora met the young couple when they were about to run away together. She pretended to give them her blessing before ripping out Daniel's heart and crushing it with magic. After that night Regina began to hate Snow White for breaking her promise. During the preparations for her forced marriage to King Leopold, Regina finds out that it was her mother's plan for her to save Snow White on her wild horse that day, in hopes that Regina would catch the King's attention. This leads her to steal her mother's spellbook in desperation, and summon her mother's old lover Rumplestiltskin. At the time, Regina was still against using magic to hurt anyone, so Rumplestiltskin gave her a magic mirror that she later pushed her mother through, transporting her to another world.
With that horrible influence out of the way, she marries King Leopold, not really having anywhere else to go. Soon she turns to another bad influence, Rumplestiltskin, who teaches her magic. Under his tutelage she learns everything from freezing creatures in their place to tearing out hearts. After
these lessons begin, Regina becomes a darker and darker person. Wanting to be free of her marriage to the king, she eventually manipulates a genie into killing him for her, under the pretext that if the king dies then she and the genie can be together. This is of course, a complete lie. After the genie kills the king for her, Regina admits that she tricked him and makes a wish to be with her forever, which gets him trapped in a mirror where he can look at her every day. After she gains control of the kingdom, she sends a huntsman to kill Snow White. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't go through with it and tries to trick Regina into thinking he killed her stepdaughter by giving her another heart instead. When she figures out what he did, Regina ripped his heart out, allowing her to control him whenever she wished. In the years that follow, Regina tries to make Snow White's life miserable, but for some reason the annoying little brat never seems to say down.
Eventually Regina went to her old teacher Rumplestilskin in hopes that he will have some way to ruin Snow's life forever, and they strike a deal for the knowledge of how to cast the Dark Curse. To enact the curse Regina kills first her horse, then her father. After that she transports the Charmings and many other citizens of the Enchanted Forest to the magically created town of Storybrooke. For over twenty years Regina rejoiced at seeing the Charmings seperated, with no idea who they really were. She also adopted a son, which she named after her father Henry. Recently though, her happy little world has started falling apart. Her son ran away to find his birth mother and bringing him back to her town. Emma Swan. A Charming. The precious Savior who's breaking her curse. Her son hates her now and it's only a short time before she has a mob at her door demanding her death. All because of that little blonde twit. Perfect. How on Earth is she going to get rid of her?
Likes: Music, being in control, Henry, cooking, little kids
Dislikes: Snow White, the Charmings, Snow White, loud, obnoxious people, being criticized or tricked
Roleplay Example: The other girl seemed to be deep in thought when Genevieve had approached her, and she couldn't help but wonder what had snagged her attention so completely. She listened as her response, and at first said nothing when her question was directed back at her. "I am well enough, thank you." She replied eventually. What a lie that was. Cold and indifferent as she was to most of the Hogwarts population, there was a small portion of her fellow students that she considered her friends, and not long ago she had counted Lysandra among them. Then that foolish rumor came up and, ugh! She had thought she had more sense than to believe such a foolish thing, and to oust Lysandra from her company because of it. They hadn't spoken since Brynn and herself had gotten wind of the rumor, and this conversation was no doubt going to be a difficult one.
"What would I have of you?" Genevieve seemed to ponder the question for a few moments as a hand came up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "I would have you indulge me for a few moments, and listen to what I have to tell you. Then afterwards, I would have you tell me your own thoughts, ruthless as I know they can be." She said, almost afraid of what was coming next. She knew the other girl had every right to never forgive her, but oh how she hoped, perhaps foolishly so, that they could be friends again.
Folding her hands in front of her she sighed before forcing herself to meet Lysandra's eyes. "I should have done better by you when that rumor started circulating around Hogwarts. Instead, like many others, I abandoned you in your time of need. I cannot imagine how you felt going through all that. As your friend I should have stood beside you, and I - am sorry." She said, regret filling her eyes. It was not often that she apologized to someone, especially not one of her peers, and she felt very uncomfortable doing so. Nevertheless, she had meant every word. With a slight frown she awaited Lysandra's reply.
