History: She was raised in Avonlea. Her mother supposedly died to illness when she was one year old. The Baker that raised her wasn't her birth father, but the only father she knew and loved. Her father's neighbor Ms. LaVous took care of her when she could, taught her how to read and the ways of the world. When she couldn't she went to work with her father, where his father's helper looked after her. Born and raised in a world of Bread of course Georgette would learn the family business. Making bread would become as easy as reading to the young red head at a young age. One day she was out reading when a young boy around her age came up and talked to him. Dressed in fine clothes, Georgette felt a bit under dressed, covered in flour. His name was Gaston. At first she didn't exactly like him, but he slowly grew on her. Around that same time a young Belle had started to come to the bakery. Belle seemed to share her love of books and she instantly took to the young girl. Sometimes they'd swap books once they finished or she'd make a special loaf of bread just for Belle in exchange for a book. Belle and Gaston were the only human friends she really had. There was another girl named Jessabelle but she wasn't reliable and her friendship didn't last that long. As they grew older, Georgette didn't see Gaston or Belle much as to their status in Avonlea, it didn't look that great for them to be associated with a poor baker's daughter. Yet,they still kept in touch and talked when they stopped by the bakery. Georgette's brother Garett had taken it hard that Gaston had stopped showing his face. He had taken a real shinning to Gaston. Not to long after that though Garett disappeared along with a number of young boys, that might consider themselves orphans or lost. This sort of caused their father to worry. He worried himself so much that he grew ill.
Her father was old and the worry over finding his adopted son had caused him to grow sick. Georgette had to take over the Bakery for a while, which didn't take well to the town that much, a young woman running a shop. Just as her father was starting to recover suddenly the town was threatened by ogres. He didn't want his daughter to be harmed or involved with the war, though Georgettte was stubborn and willing to fight in the war, her father went behind her back and arranged for her to get transportation out of town with a neighbor where they'd meet up with the neighbor's cousin in a land of ice. Georgette refused to go, she had the town sheep she called friends, except that one that liked to ruin her books. Georgette told her father that she was going to try to see Belle to tell her good bye, but she was really going to go join the fight, but magic was used on her that nocked her out instantly. She would wake up early the next morning to find herself on the back of a cart filled with hay. Far away from her home town, she couldn't help but cry. She had no idea what was going on in the town. Yet, somehow she felt dread, like she would never see her home town again, her father, or even that annoying sheep that likes to eat her books.
Their ride stopped in a town where they exchanged the hay for food and clothes. The fact that the clothes were very heavy, lined with fur suddenly made her question where they were going. Yet, she didn't receive a straight answer. The next night she remembered waking up to a sudden chill. How long had she actually been asleep after being nocked out? How far were they going. In their next stop they picked up some supplied, grabbed some bread, which made her miss home. Once more they went back on the road and once more she fell asleep curled up to her traveling companion. The next time she woke up, her face felt frozen and didn't want to move. The vehicle was stopped and a young man starring at her that went by the name Finch. Not the most attractive name, but he was handsome in his own way, under all the frostbite on his facial hair. He was also his neighbor (Nadia's) cousin.
In this land of Ice and Snow, it took her time to adjust. She didn't want to do anything, there wasn't really anywhere for her to make bread and bread would just remind her of home. The home that she abandoned or that her father made her abandon. She felt like a traitor to her town to the villagers who came and bought bread at her family's place. Slowly, but surely she came around to letting Finch and his friends teach her how to get by, such as Ice Fishing. The cold was definitely one thing that took a lot of time to get use to. It was one day that she had fallen through the ice that she realized she would actually miss it here if she left, even though she hated the cold. Maybe, it was Finch that she would miss more than the environment. The pair were off far away from the village when it happened. Finch immediate put her by the fire and had her stripped of her clothes and placed his own coat around her leaving him vulnerable to the cold. Finn was just as stubborn as Georgette when it came to getting things done and the village needed fish, which they hadn't had, so Finn tried to nurse Georgette back to health while out on the ice. Once she warmed up she went back to helping Finn catch fish. She pretended not to feel sick, but in all honestly she felt horrible. The pair were half way back to the village when Georgette felt herself slipping out of a consciousness. The bag of fish dropping from her hands as she grabbed onto Finn to slow down her fall to the ground. The last thing she experienced in the Enchated Forest was his hold on her telling her she needed to fight, that everything would be okay once they got back. She told Finn it wasn't his fault, she'd have done the same thing, and their lips were just about to meet when suddenly dark clouds headed their way.
All of her past in the Enchanted Forest suddenly went away. She was now in Storybrook and all she could remember was living her entire life operating the local bakery. She couldn't really remember anything before she moved to Storybrook. For 28 years she lived her life as GiGi. Once her memories came back though, she didn't care to look for anyone like that rest of the town had. No, the ogre war probably stripped her town of all it's people and she couldn't anyway. She was stuck in the hospital for a serious life threatening pneumonia. How she initially thought she got it had come back to her memories of the land of Ice and Snow and Finch. Now she's just being released from the hospital and is putting the pieces together of her past and her storybrooke life, re-opening the bakery that had been shut down.
