For being October, the weather was very lovely outside. The princess of Flanders decided to take her dog and a book out to the courtyard. One of Rhiannon's ladies-in-waiting accompanied the coppery haired girl to the great outdoors. Rhia seemed to always come to the courtyard on days where she just wanted to relax and read.
There were some fond memories of the courtyard. It was where Rhia had met the handsome and somewhat mysterious Prince David Pemillo of Scotland. Since then, the two have talked and they had shared a few dances at the party celebrating the birth of the prince's three nephews. The princess had enjoyed herself so much being wrapped in David's arms during each dance and song that was played. Since then, she had heard a few rumors going around court that people believed the prince and princess were courting each other. There was another rumor that King Malcolm was looking to secure an alliance between Scotland and Flanders. If these rumors were true, Rhiannon did not know. She was enjoying her time in the beautiful country, even though she secretly wanted the rumor of a possible betrothal between her and David to be true.
The two girls made their way to the courtyard, Miakoda following right behind them, the dog's padded feet lightly hitting the floor with each step she took. The princess and lady quietly talked as they walked to the courtyard.
When they reached their destination, Rhia picked a stone bench to sit on while her lady walked a little bit away from her with her dog giving her some alone time.
The sun shone down upon the courtyard, warming the princess immediately. The warmth of the bright golden sun was not too warm. It was quite comfortable. The leaves had changed colors and were already on the ground surrounding the bases of the trees in the courtyard. There were servants out and about cleaning up the leaves, trying their hardest to make the courtyard spotless. It was such a beautiful scene.
Rhiannon openned her book and started to read. A few minutes later a voice started talking to her. She looked up and saw Prince David bowing his head. "Oh, Prince David," Rhia said, gently closing her book. "Of course, you may have a word with me," the princess answered, standing up and curtsying slightly in respect to the prince.
