The Castle grounds were in utter chaos and uproar, something was terribly wrong in Camelot the dark cloud that figuratively had hung over the kingdom ever since Uther king took the Ruby throne as a boy, it was almost actually there and it wouldn't be much of a surprise considering the mood of the kingdom. It almost looked like a storm was coming and one did not just mean the cloud that was on the horizon, but the many of the peasants and court member's that had gathered down below in the courtyard. Just about everyone had come to the castle today, ready to argue with King Uther, ready to voice their opinions, part from one man who seemed to be missing from this whole affair, some thought this to be a coincidence though other's believed him to just be doing something else.
Why was the kingdom even in such an uproar in the first place ? It was mainly because of Uther Pendragons madness, ever since his father had died at the hand's of a magic user the king had been hardened to magic, even the kingdom's chief advisor Merlin was treated with hostility, though some wondered why Merlin was even still here given how badly the king reacted to magic. There was also the fact The White Mage trained apprentices under the Kings very nose. Then again they were not surprised, it was said in Camelot, to have the White Mage's personal protection meant no one could touch you, you were exempt from the king's command, some ruling that had been put down by a previous king and had never yet been upturned. Merlin had his claws dug in deep into Camelot and he would not let go until the Golden Age came.
Uther Pendragon in his madness had captured and condemned a known Mage in Camelot, someone who was a descendent of one of Merlin's old apprentices, a personal friend to Merlin himself and a popular healer throughout all of Camelot, he had condemned him to burn by fire as the news passed throughout Camelot everyone came to see, everyone came to cheer and book and try change the Tyrant king's mind, but a mad man's mind was not to be changed so easily . Now the biggest question of the day was, where was Merlin and how could he let that happen. Uther was making everyone in the court watch as well no matter how old or young they were, he wanted to show everyone how dangerous he felt magic was. Not only that but Lady Morgraine and Lady Moragana were watching as well. As for Merlin he was on a trip to another kingdom trying to keep the fragile peace between them steady, plus he had heard of some rumours.
"I Uther Pendragon Lord and King of all Camelot here by degree that this man," The king appeared on the balcony of the courtyard flocked by pale looking attendants no one but Uther seemed to want to go through with this, in fact everyone of the court knew this was big error , the king however did not care and pointed to the Mage below now near the sticks. "Arthutza De Loga has been found consorting with the enemies of Camelot, and practising the darkest of magic's I hear by sentence him to burn at the stake." There was pleasure in that voice that sent the gathered crowd into further uproar. The guards took hold of the mage's arms and dragged him foward, but a strange force blew them backwards through the crowd and disembodied voice spoke with utter furry.
"How Dare you , son of Guntard!" A cold air whipped around the courtyard and a white mist gathered around a spot below the balcony, a young man appeared of twenty two a furious fire burning in his eyes , he looked around at the gathered crowd a flicker of amusement appeared within them for a few seconds. "Uther Pendragon!" He turned, he was in a leather battle armour and he wielded a sword in his other hand, bloodied as if he had been in a fight. "Have you lots your wits" Uther took a moment to gather his wits before shouting down "Do not challenge me Merlin, or it shall be you upon that fire," Merlin's eyes took on a darker haze "DO Not threaten me Uther! I am at a loss at how Guntard brought about such a son," he brought up his staff and lightning erupted from it striking the crown upon the king's head. "You are King, but do not test me, your father was great and wise ruler but you are nothing but a Tyrant, the little boy who plays at King's but always cries when he falls," he sighed and hook his head walking towards the other mage. "This man was a friend and ally to your father Uther, by killing him you betray the Great King's memory." An amused smile danced on his lips "Now who can tell me what happen's to kings who, who betray those closet to them and oppress their people?" He looked directly at his apprentices for an Answer.
