[OOC: Takes place in Belinda/Adelaide's home before the curse was broken and memories were returned/ will move when board is made for her house]
Adelaide practically floated around her living room, soft music playing in the background. She felt rather happy today, but then again this was the day she was planning her birthday party. Nothing better than a party in her honor, at least in her opinion. She had been working her ass off lately and barely had time for herself. On top of that she didn't get along with many people in this town and was hoping to find a few worthy of her time.
Her plan was this; to throw a huge, killer party and invite everyone in town. From there she'd lay on the charm and perhaps she'd stop being so lonely in her big, empty house. On top of that she simply wanted people to celebrate her, even if she had no idea who they were. Adelaide had woken up extra early to start on the list for her party. After an hour the list was two pages long and her stomach told her to fuel up. Making herself a bagel and a cup of coffee, she had grabbed her list and decided to work on the first item on her list- 'the cake'. Despite her small stature, Adelaide had a terrible sweet tooth.
There weren't a lot of options in this town, and she wracked her brain over who she should get her cake from. No way in hell was she making it herself; she did want it to taste good. She had called up Granny's to ask where they bought some of their cakes and pies from, and the owner Granny had told her most were made in house. Old lady cakes? I don't think so. Adelaide laid on the charm and found out a few others placed their items in there as well, including from a woman named Jinna Ross. For some strange reason, that name stuck in her head. The old woman gave her Jinna's number.
From there she managed to get ahold of Jinna and ask her if she could bring some samples by her house. She explained she was extremely busy and this was one of her only days to be at home. Adelaide also added she wanted to get the cake just right and it might help if Jinna knew a bit about her. Promising lunch and a great pay if she liked the products, Adelaide convinced Jinna to stop by that afternoon with some samples of her favorite cakes- strawberry with cream cheese frosting, chocolate with peanut butter filling and frosting as well as a simple vanilla with caramel frosting.
Now, as she twirled around, her eyes fell on the clock. Jinna was supposed to come at 2:00 P., and it was already 1:30! Adelaide realized it would be take too long to order out, so she turned on her heels and headed to her large kitchen. On the way she almost tripped on her cat, Gandalf. He looked up at her and hissed, he was used to having the whole house to himself and wasn't thrilled she was home. "Shut up you stupid cat this is my house too!" They had a love/hate relationship. Mostly hate. Adelaide had gotten him in an attempt to battle lonely evenings, but she was never really home. They never bonded and at this point they simply tolerated each other.
Gandalf hissed again, his gray hair sticking up as he bolted away. Adelaide shook her head and opened the fridge. Luckily her housekeeper kept the food stocked and fresh. Deciding on making sandwiches, she started pulling out the ingredients. Smoked ham, cheddar cheese, lettuce and other supplies began to cover the counters. She couldn't remember the last time she made a meal that didn't consist of spreading cream cheese on a bagel. She was glad she didn't dress up today, only wearing a pair of black yoga pants and a cut off shirt that claimed "DIVA" across the chest. The shirt was amazingly accurate.
Frowning, she tried to recall where her panini press was. Absentmindedly she pulled her hair back into a bun while opening all the lower cabinits with her feet. This was proving to be far more difficult than she had hoped. She peeked in them, trying to locate it. "What is all this crap anyway?" She sighed, pushing aside many contraptions, pots and pans. Despite the time, she continued to search, thinkig that this Jinna could wait for lunch if she had to. Being in show business, Adelaide had gotten used to the world running on her time frame....
