Charming having doubts? Yes it did happen, not that he'd let anyone know, not even his wife. The two didn't have secrets really, but this wasn't a secret as Charming had never gave the doubt a moment of his day, however, now he was sitting, alone and thinking about everything he did have time to think on it. Was it right? This doubt he feared. Truthfully what would happen in the future? He and Snow were from a different realm from Emma. It wasn't like they could all just go back when everything worked out. They'd still have missed so much, and maybe lose so much they've started to love.
Charming sighed softly as he looked at the book in front of him. A lot had happened in the past year. After the curse he thought they'd be able to face anything and everything, however with so much happening it was difficult to keep up at times. He and Snow kept saying they had gotten through worse, but that wasn't true. For all the doubt in his mind, he knew that they would get through it, but he wondered at what cost and he hoped in one piece. Already Snow had been in despair over a 'blackened' heart. Emma was torn and stuck somewhere between a rock and a hard place and Henry. Well Henry was the light amongst the shadows, he was there to remind David that in fact the family always had belief and therefor hope. Hope they'd weather the storm and get through it.
Charming stood and grabbed his coat and walked out to the sheriffs office. Emma had been out, so he knew that there, most likely, wasn't anyone around. The wind that blew past him was cold, snappy, it reflected a little about his mood. He arrived at the station soon after, Storybooke wasn't very big after all. Well the town wasn't. The woods... that was another story. He put his jacket on the hook by the door and looked to the desk were a photo sat. As Charming slid into his chair to check the messages, he glanced at the photo. It was him and Henry, Emma and Snow all smiling at the camera, he couldn't remember where it was taken, but he guessed it had been recently. Snow was always leaving little reminders on his desk. Little things to cheer up his day.
In spite of his earlier doubting mood, he smiled at the memories of everything, teaching Henry how to ride, Emma calling him dad and the oddest moment ever, Snow- David smiled, remembering who Snow was after the curse... waking up next to her every morning again, seeing her smile when they've been cooking and seeing her light up like a firefly when she and Emma hug. That's when Charming realised that his doubt, wasn't sticking around. His doubt was unfounded and he had to continue to be strong for his family as, after all, that was the strongest thing in the world... True Love.
David's mini revelation was short lived as he heard a noise behind him, he realised that he was holding the photo of his family and placed it back on the desk, next to a stack of papers."Snow? Emma?" He frowned and turned not having expected anyone being around.
